About this blog

Comments sections are what you get if you put the chaos theory and cultural evolution into a blender, add a few pinches of Hitler, a touch of reductionism, then forget how to spell the word "blender" properly, which doesn't really prevent you from blending.

Like many of you out there, I come across comments posted in response to online news articles, blogs and videos that just blow my mind.  Typically these comments make some vague reference to a socioeconomic-political issue, but not always.

As the world becomes more wired, and the internet is no longer restricted to pathetic geeks who visit Usenet (hey, what? Pathetic?), the voices of the internet are becoming pretty diverse -- painfully diverse.

Often I come across something that is so brutal that I need to share it.  Now I have a blog to collect these wonderful witticisms.

REGULARITY OF POSTS, ETC.

A good blog should be updated enough that you keep going back to check it, but not so often that you can't keep up if you don't check it for a few days. As much as I would like to have a post (or more than one) per day, it may not happen like that without your help in helping me curate this scrapbook of awesome.

These awesome comments are gems that I come across when I read the news. I spend a significant amount of my leisure time reading about current events, but I'm not going to go out of my way to search for the "craziest" comments, which could lead to a dull, predictable pattern of posts (see: FMYLIFE.COM). Posts that end up here were found as a result of me reading the opinions of others who have read news stories that interest me. I generally don't read content that I find uninteresting. Do you?
